PURPOSE: An engine start button apparatus for a vehicle is provided to activate a driver authentication process embedded in a start button simply by pressing the start button. CONSTITUTION: An engine start button apparatus for a vehicle comprises a start button, an immobilizer(30), and an engine control unit(40). The start button, including a button portion(11) and an actuator member(13), starts or stops an engine when pressed by the user. The immobilizer reads authentication data stored in a fob key remotely through an antenna coil(20) and performs authentication. The engine control unit controls the engine according to the output signal of the start button and the authentication result of the immobilizer. The antenna coil and the start button are formed integrally to constitute a start module(10). The immobilizer and the start module are installed in a single housing.
