PURPOSE: A color signal gain control device and a method thereof are provided to control the gain of color signals of pixels according to the color signal level with the pixels. CONSTITUTION: A pixel determining unit(11) decides a type according to luminance and color using color signal level which each pixel included in an input image has. According to the type, a color signal gain determining unit(13) determines one among a first color signal gain, a second chrominance signal gain and a unit gain as a color signal gain. The second color signal gain is determined as a color signal level of the pixel to compensate each pixel with white.
