PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a sulfide solid electrolytic material having good ion conductivity which enables the realization of a higher output in a battery; a battery arranged by use of such a sulfide solid electrolytic material; and a method for manufacturing a sulfide solid electrolytic material.SOLUTION: A sulfide solid electrolytic material comprises Li, P, and S elements. The sulfide solid electrolytic material is amorphous, in which the ratio (Li/P) of Li to P is larger than 3. A battery comprises: a positive electrode active material layer including a positive electrode active material; a negative electrode active material layer including a negative electrode active material; and an electrolytic layer formed between the positive and negative electrode active material layers. In the battery, the electrolytic layer includes the sulfide solid electrolytic material. A method for manufacturing the sulfide solid electrolytic material comprises: a synthesizing step in which an amorphous sulfide solid electrolytic material is synthesized by use of a raw material composition including constituents of the sulfide solid electrolytic material according to a melt quenching method. |
