PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting machine equipped with an engageable/disengageable transmission device which can intermittently transmit reciprocating motion of a lifting slider which is moved up and down by a lifting driving device.SOLUTION: A cutting machine comprises: a stationary blade 31; a movable blade 32; a lifting slider 12 that can be moved in a lifting/lowering direction; and a lifting driving device 10 that reciprocates the lifting slider in the lifting/lowering direction. Further the cutting machine comprises a transmission device 20 equipped with: a transmission part 23 provided below the lifting slider; a transmitted member 22 that is provided between the lifting slider and the movable blade, moves back and forth between a first position which can contact the transmission part and a second position which does not contact the transmission part, and can transmit downward movement of the lifting slider to the movable blade; and a driving body 20A for engagement/disengagement which moves back and forth the transmitted member. The transmitted member and the transmission part are constituted so that opposing contact parts thereof are formed into step-shaped contact parts with two or more steps and contact each other when the parts are positioned at the first position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
