Provided is a steering-wheel core and a casting method therefor, with which it is possible, even in the case in which the steering-wheel core is cast by using molten metal, to eliminate the need to apply finishing processing after casting, thus making it possible to reduce the manufacturing cost. With a casting method for a steering-wheel core 100 according to the present invention, protruding sections 92 are provided in surfaces 91 that define nut seat surfaces among the inner surfaces of a casting die 90, and, when molten metal flows into the casting die 90, the molten metal hits the protruding sections 92, thus changing the flow direction of the molten metal which is flowing toward the surfaces 91 that define the nut seat surfaces. |
