<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the efficiency with which a designer selects parts when designing a product. <P>SOLUTION: A parts consulting terminal 104 that enables the designer to consult desired parts and a parts management server 102 for integrally managing parts information are provided. The parts management server is provided with: a registered parts database 316 in which the identifiers of the parts and the attribute information of the parts are stored in association; a parts search part 308 that obtains a search key for parts from the parts consulting terminal and searches the registered parts database for the corresponding parts; an external parts acquisition part 310 that searches for and obtains the corresponding parts from an external parts supply server 106 if the parts are not registered; a new parts registering part 312 that registers the corresponding parts obtained into the registered parts database; and a corresponding parts providing part 314 that provides information about the corresponding parts to the parts consulting terminal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
