PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crescent lock device which is safe and easy to handle, and can prevent illegal invasion from outside, and unexpected locking/unlocking by an infant. SOLUTION: According to the structure of the crescent lock device, a crescent body (4) is operated for rotation by a lever (5) located at a location separate from the crescent body (4), and an engaging/disengaging means (7) arranged between the lever (5) and a lever shaft portion (21) functions to engage/disengage the lever (5) with/from the lever shaft portion (21), to thereby set the lever (5) in an operable state or in an inoperable state (idle state).
