PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a perfume composition for modulation for changing the impression of the smell of heated and cooked oil to favorable smell; and to provide a deodorant composition using the composition. SOLUTION: The perfume composition for the modulation of 2,4-decadienal smell or the smell of the heated and cooked oil contains one or more kinds of perfumes selected from hexanol, cis-3-hexenol, linalool, tetrahydrolinalool, ethyllinalool, triplal, limonene and ethyl 2-tert-butylcyclohexyl carbonate.
