<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recorder capable of easily determining a position to be stapled in accordance with the position of an image on recording paper on which the image is printed by copying or the like. <P>SOLUTION: When copying in a sort mode is finished, whether or not a staple key is pushed is discriminated (step 104), and when the staple key is pushed, a staple position instructing screen is displayed on a display part (step 106). When a user instructs a staple position, stapling is performed to the bundle of recording paper in one bin, and also the bin of a sorter part is moved by one step (step 108).
