<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information recording medium in which both of good reproduced information from pit trains for reproduction only and good reproduced information from a guide groove for recording and reproducing can be obtained, while an optimum tracking property can be obtained always even in an unrecorded region, and the optimum tracking property can be obtained always even in an already recorded region, by reproducing an intermediate region consisting of the pit columns with a tracking system or a phase difference system of a differential push-pull system. <P>SOLUTION: The information recording medium includes the guide groove formed on the disk substrate, and the intermediate region consisting of the pit trains in which the bottom position of the pit trains are in the same plane, and both are flat, also height from the bottom plane to the side of the guide groove and height from the bottom plane to the side of the pit train are varied is provided at a switching part in which switching is varied from the pit train to the guide groove or from the guide groove to the pit train. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
