A system for providing a recording service in a base station and a method thereof are provided to keep telephone conversation after a current point of time and telephone conversation for a predetermined time before the current point of time stored in a base station by using permanent storage media according to a need of a user within a predetermined time during or after a call. A temporary storage unit(100) stores telephone conversation created by a mobile communication terminal for a predetermined time in a voice packet format. A permanent storage unit(200) receives and stores the telephone conversation of a voice packet stored in the temporary storage unit, and provides the stored telephone conversation of the voice packet through the mobile communication terminal. A function controller(300) receives a recording service request signal created through the mobile communication terminal and creates a control signal to move the stored telephone conversation of the voice packet stored in the temporary storage unit to the permanent storage unit.
