PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a PDP in which a pair of substrates are overlapped without a contact spot, and which can prevent vibration sounds from occurring at the time of driving. SOLUTION: A panel face of the PDP is sectioned into a display region P1 and a non-display region P2. In the display region P1 of a rear face glass substrate 2 side, a column electrode D1 to respectively form discharge cells C1 in a discharge space of a part crossing a pair of row electrodes (X, Y) formed on a front face glass substrate 1 side, a barrier rib 6 which is formed on a column electrode protecting layer 5 to cover this column electrode D1 and sections a discharge space into every discharge cell C1, and a dummy barrier rib 7 in the non-display region P2 of the rear face glass substrate 2 side are formed. At a part where the dummy barrier rib 7 is formed in the non-display region P2 of the rear face glass substrate 2 side, a dummy column electrode D2 is formed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
