PURPOSE: A method for preparing metallic oxide phosphors is provided to facilitate the control of a shape and size of a fluorescent substance, to synthesize highly crystalline particles in a short time, and to control the growth and coherence of metal oxide fluorescent substance particles. CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing metallic oxide phosphors comprises the steps of: (a) preparing a metal precursor compound and ionic substances; and (b) heating the solution in a pressurization state using microwaves. The metal precursor compound is carbonate, nitrate, chloride, hydroxide, oxalate, acetate or alkoxide of Mg, Ca, Sr, Ba, Zn, Mn, Al, Ga, B, Y, La, Ce, Gd, Eu, Ce, Pr, Dy, Tm, Tb, Er, Yb, Sm, Er, Bi, Sb, Ge, Si or Sn; or tetraethyl orthosilicate, tetramethyl orthosilicate, H3BO3, NH4B5O8, H3PO4, NH4H2PO4, (NH4)2HPO4, NH4H2PO4, (NH4)3PO4, VO(SO4), Na3VO4, NaVO3, NH4VO3 or Na2(NH4)4V10O28; or two or more compounds selected from them.
