FIELD: technological processes, filters. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention is related to the field of melt metal filtering. Precursor of ceramic material and ceramic filter made of it are proposed, comprising 35-70 wt % of fire resistant aluminium silicate; 10-30 wt % of colloid silicon dioxide; up to 2 wt % of modified bentonite; up to 35 wt % of carbon white. Precursor also contains water and possibly cellulating agent up to 10 wt % in the form of hollow spheres.
