PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article storage apparatus and a conveying device that facilitate wiring work, also facilitate change in a specification (change in a layout), and can make a stock determination with higher accuracy.SOLUTION: An article storage apparatus has a conveying device configured to convey an article at least from an article carry-in side toward an article carry-out side. The conveying device is divided in control zones arranged in series. Each control zone is provided with at least one driving source and control device. On the condition that at least information about conveying, provided for each individual control zone and information about load on the driving source in each individual control zone or about a change resulting from the load are both checked, the driving source for each individual control zone is driven in a basic conveyance operation. If information about loads, and so on cannot be checked even though information about conveying is acquired, the driving source for each individual control zone is driven. |
