PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an estimation method of the transformer characteristics which allows for estimation of the % air core reactance or in-rush current of a transformer, by using the information that anyone can know.SOLUTION: An estimation method for knowing the unknown characteristics of a transformer comprises: an information collection organization step of making a regression equation representing the correlation of % short circuit impedance and % air core reactance, from the data of % short circuit impedance and % air core reactance, the data of a plurality of transformers being known in advance; and a characteristics estimation step of an unknown transformer for acquiring the value of % short circuit impedance, described in the faceplate of a transformer, for a transformer the value of air core reactance of which is unknown, and estimating the % air core reactance of the transformer by substituting the value of % short circuit impedance thud acquired into the regression equation. |
