A device for feeding fish into compartments (4) of a conveyor (1) of a fish dressing machine (2) comprises a conveyor belt (6) with a flat moving surface (7), and a guide tunnel (11) which is open on the underside and has an inlet (12), an outlet (19) and two lateral walls (20). The guide tunnel (11) is disposed above the flat moving surface (7) of the conveyor belt (6) such that the bottoms (21) of the lateral walls (20) of the tunnel (11) are close to the moving surface (7) of the conveyor belt (6) or are in contact therewith, and the inlet (12) and the outlet (19) of the guide tunnel (11) are spaced apart in the direction of travel of the conveyor belt (6), wherein the guide tunnel (11) is movable in a plane parallel to the moving surface (7) of the conveyor belt (6), and the device is provided with an actuator which enables displacement of the outlet (19) of the tunnel (11) in a transverse direction relative to the direction of travel of the moving surface (7) of the conveyor belt (6). Also proposed is a method for feeding in fish using the proposed device. The invention can be used in fish processing facilities for feeding fish into individual compartments of a fish dressing machine conveyor, for example during the processing of Baltic herring, capelin, sprats, Black Sea sprats, anchovies or brisling. |
