Electronic electricity meter has a housing that contains all the components and parts of the meter including a display and a current sensors. Also within the housing (14) is a sealing element and a position sensor that detects if the sealing element is moved from a locked to an unlocked position and generates a signal that is output to a register (40) and or the display.
