<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device and electronic equipment that have inconspicuous boundaries between pixels, eliminate the need to adjust the array pitch of an optical sheet each time a pixel pitch changes, are adaptive to liquid crystal panels having various pixel pitches, and can suppress the generation of moire fringes due to interference between the pixel pitch and the prism array pitch of the optical sheet. <P>SOLUTION: In the liquid crystal display device equipped with the liquid crystal panel having a plurality of liquid crystal pixels arrayed in matrix and a back light unit 20 equipped with at least a prism sheet 26 arranged adjacently to the back of the liquid crystal panel, a light guide plate 22, and a light source 21 arranged at its end, the prism sheet 26 is arranged such that ridges of the sheet 26 are nearly orthogonal to the length of one pixel constituting the liquid crystal panel. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
