PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent short-circuiting between an uncoated part on a positive electrode and an active material layer of a negative electrode.SOLUTION: A positive electrode 21 which constitutes an electrode assembly of a secondary battery has a rectangular shape and comprises a positive electrode active material layer 23 on positive electrode metal foil 22. The positive electrode 21 has, along an upper edge 21a, that is one of its four sides, an uncoated part 22b made of a portion of the positive electrode metal foil 22 that does not have the positive electrode active material layer 23. A positive electrode tab 24 protrudes from the upper edge 21a of the positive electrode 21. In the positive electrode 21, the entire area of the uncoated part 22b and the entire area of the positive electrode active material layer 23 are coated with ceramic. |
