BACKLIGHT ASSEMBLY AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY COMPRISING THE SAME

A backlight assembly and an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) having the same are provided to remove the necessity for a boost circuit and enable a second circuit board to include only one power line and one ground line, thereby reducing manufacturing costs and achieving its slimness. A backlight assembly comprises the following parts. A circuit board(130) comprises one power line(220) applied with power voltage, one ground line(230) and plural light emitting devices for emitting light by being connected in parallel between the power line and the ground line. A light guide panel guides the light provided from the light emitting device. The circuit board includes no line except the power line and the ground line.
