PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compound having excellent solubility etc., and suitable as a liposome contrast medium selective for lesions such as vascular diseases. SOLUTION: The compound is represented by general formula or a salt thereof. The compound, a chelate compound and a salt of either thereof have excellent properties as a constituent lipid of a liposome for the contrast medium.
