PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylinder block capable of forming a flow passage of cooling liquid desirable for cooling the cylinder block or a cylinder head.SOLUTION: A cylinder block 10 includes an intake side wall 10a, an exhaust side wall, and a water jacket 20. A cooling liquid introduction port 30 and a cooling liquid outflow port 31 communicated with the water jacket 20 are formed on the intake side wall 10a. A flow passage in the water jacket 20 is partitioned into a first flow passage and a second flow passage by projections 51 and 61 of a water jacket spacer 40 arranged in the water jacket 20. The cooling liquid introduction port 30 is communicated with the first flow passage. The cooling liquid outflow port 31 is communicated with the second flow passage. A center C1 of a flow passage cross section of the cooling liquid introduction port 30 is in a position higher than a center C2 of a flow passage cross section of the cooling liquid outflow port 31. A bottom 31a of the cooling liquid outflow port 31 is formed in the vicinity of a bottom 20a of the water jacket 20.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
