摘要 The present invention is directed to provision of a method for solving a problem of dissolution of lithium polysulfide in an electrolyte, which is one of the principal problems related to a rechargeable lithium-sulfur battery. When the method according to the present invention is used, sulfur formed on carbon black reacts with lithium to thus form lithium polysulfide. When lithium polysulfide is dissolved in an electrolyte, lithium polysulfide is captured by a nano-composite of V_2O_5 xerogel and carbon included in an electrode, and thus polysulfide ions are not easily dissolved in the electrolyte and remain in the electrode. Accordingly, the amount of polysulfide diffusing to an anode can be significantly reduced, and thus a shuttle reaction is suppressed and the amount of excessive charging between charging and discharging is reduced. Furthermore, the present invention can solve a problem of considerably low electrical conductivity of sulfur, which is another principal problem related to a rechargeable lithium-sulfur battery.
