PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a direct pattern forming waterless planographic printing plate so as to obtain a printing plate having good image reproducibility by development with water or an aqueous solution prepared by adding a surfactant to water. SOLUTION: In the method for producing a direct pattern forming waterless planographic printing plate in which an original plate of the direct pattern forming waterless planographic printing plate obtained laminating at least an ink receiving layer and a silicone rubber layer in this order on a base is irradiated with laser beam and developed, the intensity of the laser beam is 150-1,000 mJ/cm2 and the development is carried out with water or an aqueous solution prepared by adding a surfactant to water.
