PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photopolymerizable composition highly sensitive to visible to infrared light as well as to ultraviolet light and a recording material containing the composition, excellent in sensitivity and the decolorability of the ground part and capable of forming a clear high-contrast image. SOLUTION: The photopolymerizable composition contains a polymerizable compound and a compound of formula (1) [where L1-L3 are each methine; Z1 is an atomic group forming a 5- or 6-membered heterocycle; Y is N(R1)R2, OR3 or S(O)nR4 (R1-R4 are each E or a monovalent substituent); (n) is 0-2; and (m) is 0-3]. Preferably, the composition further contains a compound capable of generating a radical or a cation by interaction with the compound of the formula (1). |
