PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing system and a printing method by which a 2nd image is positionally accurately printed on recording material having a 1st image thermally fixed. SOLUTION: This printing system is provided with a 1st image forming means (A) forming the 1st image on the recording material (7) based on 1st image information, fixing means (13, 14 and 15) fixing the 1st image on the recording material by applying at least heating action to the recording material holding the 1st image, and a 2nd image forming means (B) forming the 2nd image based on 2nd image information on the recording material passing through the fixing means. The printing system is equipped with a correction means for correcting the 2nd image information based on the thermal contraction amount of the recording material by the heating action of the fixing means. |
