PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device, capable of controlling the amount of exposure of an exposing unit 3 to be most appropriate and in which a good image can be obtained and efficient consumption of toner can be carried out even when originals of a low printed ratio in originals with a density that is below a specified value is printed over a long period of time. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a measuring means 8 to measure the density of the original by counting image data as the number of dots and a control means 9 to carry out control to vary the amount of exposure of the exposure unit 3 when the density of the original measured by the measuring means 8 becomes equal to or below the specified value. |
