PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video display device capable of applying highly accurate color temperature correction to a white color group signal with high luminance and low saturation so as to obtain a visually preferable white color. SOLUTION: A signal processing circuit disclosed herein includes: an A/D converter 14 for converting an input video signal into a digital signal; a matrix circuit 15 for converting the digital signal outputted from the A/D converter into a luminance signal and at least two color difference signals; a hue conversion circuit 18 to obtain a hue signal from the color difference signals outputted from the matrix circuit; a hue correction circuit 20 for correcting the hue signal; a saturation conversion circuit 21 to obtain a saturation signal from the color difference signals; a saturation correction circuit 22 to correct the saturation signal; and a color temperature correction circuit 23 for applying color temperature correction to each of the corrected hue signal and the corrected saturation signal.
