PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage device and a semiconductor device using the storage device capable of suppressing power consumption without requiring a complicated manufacturing process.SOLUTION: In a storage element using a phase inversion element inverting a phase of an input signal and outputting the signal, such as an inverter or a clocked inverter, a capacitive element for holding data and a switching element controlling charge and discharge of electric charge in the capacitive element are provided. For the switching element, a transistor including an oxide semiconductor in a channel formation region is used. When application of a power supply voltage to the phase inversion element is stopped, the data is stored in the capacitive element. Thus, the data is held in the capacitive element even when the supply of the power supply voltage to the phase inversion element is stopped. |
