In sintering of a metal powder after pressure molding into given configuration, random amorphous flaky metal fine powder (10) is used as the metal powder material. Alternatively, a main material of spherical particulate metal powder (11) combined with a sub-material of random amorphous flaky metal fine powder (10) of particle size finer than that of metal powder (11)produced by fracturing of a metal fracture material by means of high-velocity gas swirling flow wherein the sub-material (10) is dispersed in the main material (11) is molded and sintered. As a result, there can be obtained a metal product that despite being a powder metallurgical product, has a dense metallographic structure and excels in properties, such as mechanical strength.
