<p>A magnetic resonance imaging system in which noise due to vibration of a gradient coil can be reduced. On the imaging space side of a magnetostatic field generating means (1), a gradient magnetic field fixing means (6) for fixing the gradient coil (2) applying a gradient magnetic field to a subject, and a magnetic field regulating means (7) are disposed. The gradient coil fixing means (6) is secured to the magnetic field regulating means (7) on the magnetostatic field generating means (1) and has a vibration isolating supporting mechanism. Airtightness is sustained in a pole piece by means of an airtight cover (8). The airtight cover (8) is supported on the magnetostatic field generating means (1) through a plurality of studs (9) secured rigidly thereto. The vibration isolating supporting mechanism (10) is provided at a position where the stud (9) touches the airtight cover (8). A damping material (11) made of a resin material is stuck to the side of the airtight cover (8) touching the vibration isolating supporting mechanism (10).</p> |
