<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress heat quantity generated by a card reader due to continuously outputted inquiries and requests. <P>SOLUTION: The card reader estimates the current heat quantity of a circuit part (inquiry unit) 11 by making a heat quantity estimating part 15 refer to a heat quantity increase and decrease table stored in a table storing part 14, and transmits to a higher-level management device 20 a request to stop transmission of inquiry and request until the heat quantity is reduced to or below the threshold value when the current estimated heat quantity of the circuit part 11 (inquiry unit) exceeds the predetermined threshold. The higher-level management device 20 stops transmission of the inquiry and request to the circuit part (inquiry unit) 11 according to the stop request until the heat quantity of the circuit (inquiry unit) 11 is reduced to or below the predetermined threshold value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
