<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic musical instrument capable of easily understandably displaying various kinds of parameters set in relation to a keyboard. <P>SOLUTION: In this electronic musical instrument, a planar display device 16 for which a plurality of display elements Dij (1≤i≤m and 1≤j≤n) constituted of an LED element or the like are arranged in a matrix shape over the entire key zones C1-C6 (the number n of keys) of the keyboard 13 is provided near the keyboard 13. In this case, a row direction matches with a key array direction K, a column direction matches with a direction orthogonal to the key array direction K respectively, and the display elements Dij of respective columns (i) are aligned on the respective keys C1-C6 of the keyboard 13.
