DIGITAL BROADCASTING RECEIVER FOR AUTOMATICALLY ALLOCATING INHERENT LCNS TO CHANNELS HAVING STRONG ELECTRIC FIELD AND METHOD THEREOF

A digital broadcasting receiver and an automatic allocation method are provided to automatically allocating an inherent LCN(Logical Channel Number) to a strong electric field channel, thereby supplying high-quality broadcasting to a user. A channel is scanned(S210), and then the scanned channel is stored(S220). If the scanned channel and the pre-stored channel have duplicate channels owing to the same LCN, the duplicate channels are compared with each other to determine the strength of electric field(S230). An inherent LCN is allotted to a strong electric field channel of the duplicate channels, and an expansive LCN is allotted to a weak electric field channel of the duplicate channels(S240). The allotted inherent LCN for the strong electric field channel and the allotted expansive LCN for the weak strong electric field channel are respectively stored(S250). The channel is displayed according to the storing result(S260).
