PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for the analysis of a gene amplification product to enable the qualitative analysis and the quantitative analysis of a gene amplification product. SOLUTION: The method for the analysis of a gene amplification product comprises the measurement of melting curves during and after the gene amplification reaction for amplifying the target gene in a reaction liquid to obtain melting curves at least during the reaction and after the reaction. Preferably, the melting curve measurement is repeated twice or more during the reaction. The quantity of the target gene existing in the reaction liquid at the start of the gene amplification reaction can be estimated by comparing the specific peaks of the amplification product of the target gene on the multiple melting curves obtained by the melting curve measurements.
