FEN-1 ENDONUCLEASE, MIXTURE AND CLEAVAGE METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for the detection and characterization of nucleic acid sequences and variations in nucleic acid sequences and to provide an improved cleavage means for the detection and characterization of nucleic acid sequences.

SOLUTION: The invention provides FEN-1 endonuclease and chimera FEN-1 endonuclease which are structure-specific nucleases derived from a variety of thermostable organisms. These structure-specific nucleases are used to cleave target-dependent cleavage structures, thereby indicating the presence of specific nucleic acid sequences or their specific variations.
