PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique quickly eliminating a recessed state of a front edge of a molten pool.SOLUTION: A laser beam welding apparatus 10 joins a plurality of members to one another by using a wire 3 melted by a laser beam 4. The laser beam welding apparatus 10 comprises: a laser beam oscillator 11 outputting the laser beam 4; a coaxial camera 13 imaging a molten pool 5 formed by a leading end portion 3a of the wire 3 being melted by the laser beam 4 and generating image data; a determination section 33 determining whether or not a front edge 5a of the molten pool 5 in the vicinity of the leading end portion 3a of the wire 3 is in a recessed state by analyzing the image data; and an output control section 30 reducing output of the laser beam 4 when the front edge 5a of the molten pool 5 is in the recessed state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
