The present invention discloses a push-button switch for an emergency stop, which has no additional part such as a cover or the like and surely prevents unnecessary reset thereof. A cylinder with a cylindrical shape is installed on the interior of the push-button. The cylinder and the push-button freely rotate with respect to each other at a predetermined angle and are connected to be moved together in an axial direction. At least a pair of locking holes are formed to correspond to the peripheral wall of the cylinder and the peripheral wall of a bezel, which surrounds the cylinder, to allow a lock to be inserted. When the push-button and the cylinder are placed in a standby position, the locking hole of the cylinder and the locking hole of the bezel are dislocated with respect to each other such that the lock cannot be inserted and pass through the locking holes. When the push-button is pushed to be located at a pressed position through the pushing operation, the cylinder is rotated at a predetermined angle to allow the locking hole of the cylinder and the locking hole of the bezel to be overlapped such that the lock passes through the locking holes to be inserted, thereby allowing the operation part to be locked in the lock position.
