This measuring device can be used under high pressure, and is capable of highly accurately measuring impurity particles contained in a hydraulic oil. A flow channel hole 11 opened in two facing surfaces of a housing 10 has side surfaces 11Ba, 11Bb that are flat surfaces. A hole 12 is opened in the side surface 11Ba, and a hole 13 is opened in the side surface 11Bb. Light emitted from a light irradiation unit 25A is irradiated to a hydraulic oil via a cell 21 provided in the hole 12 from the direction substantially orthogonal to a center axis P, said hydraulic oil flowing in the flow channel hole 11. Then, light passed through the hydraulic oil is received by a light receiving unit 27A via a cell 21 provided in the hole 13 opened in the side surface 11Bb. |
