Provided is a position estimation device 10, comprising: an attenuation property calculation unit 12 that calculates, for each base station constituting a wireless communication system, the distance attenuation properties of the reception intensities of signals received by each base station, on the basis of the reception intensities of signals received by each base station from other base stations and the position of each base station; a correction processing unit 13 that corrects the distance attenuation properties calculated by the attenuation property calculation unit 12 on the basis of the reception intensity, at each base station, of a signal transmitted by a wireless terminal from a predetermined position; an attenuation property retention unit 15 that retains the distance attenuation properties after correction by the correction processing unit 13; and a position calculation unit 14 that calculates the estimated position of a wireless terminal on the basis of the reception intensity, at each base station, of a signal transmitted from the wireless terminal, and the distance attenuation properties retained in the attenuation property retention unit 15. |
