PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the processing diameter of spectacle lenses allowing rough processing.SOLUTION: A spectacle lens processing apparatus comprises: lens rotation means of rotating a lens chuck shaft; rough processing tool rotation means equipped with a rough processing tool having a diameter smaller than the diameter of the outer periphery of a spindle part; transfer means of changing the center distance between the rotation shaft of the processing tool and the lens chuck shaft; and control means of controlling the lens rotation means and the transfer means according to data on the radius vector of the trajectory of rough processing obtained on the basis of a lens shape to carry out rough processing of spectacle lenses. The apparatus is equipped with shaft angle changing means of changing the relative shaft angle of the lens chuck shaft with respect to the rotation shaft of the processing tool. The control means sets a shaft angle for each radius vector angle according to the processing diameter in such a manner as to avoid interference between the spindle part and the lens chuck shaft supporting part and controls the shaft angle changing means on the basis of the set shaft angle when the processing diameter contained at least in the data on the radius vector during rough processing lies in a range of radius vector angles smaller than a predetermined reference value. |
