PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system for providing information and a device composing the same system, with which an article can be more safely purchased on a network. SOLUTION: A user 101 watches a home page provided by an information provider 102 and inputs an article desired to purchase and the instruction of investigation. The information provider 102 receives information specifying the user and the article and the instruction information of investigation and relatively stores each of information in a database 102e. On the basis of the received investigation instruction, the investigation instructing mechanism 102e investigates the requested article by dispatching an investigation agent 105a to a real store 104. The investigation agent 105a reports the investigated result to a result judging mechanism 102e. The information of the investigated result is next reported from the information provider 102 through the Internet 103 to the user 101 and the judgement of the user 101 on whether or not the article is to be purchased is waited. |
