PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the following capability of a head body to the irregular recording surface of a disk in a magnetic head device in which a load beam is connected to a flexure having an elastically deformable tongue to which the head body is stuck, and a hemispherical contact part is proveded in either the load beam or the flexure tongue and a flat contact surface is provided on the remainder, these contact surfaces constituting the displacement fulcrum of the head body. SOLUTION: In the magnetic head device, at least either the flat contact surface or the hemispherical contact surface is subjected to laser polishing to give the hemispherical contact surface a surface roughness Ra of 100 nm or below and the flat contact surface a surface roughness Ra of 50 nm or below.
