PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To previously predict detection abnormality of a double feeding detection sensor in operation. SOLUTION: This paper sheet processor has: a pair of carrying rollers 17b carrying a paper sheet; the double feeding detection sensor 16a deciding whether a plurality of paper sheets carried by the carrying roller 17b overlap each other, and transmitting decision data thereon; a main control part predicting the detection abnormality of the double feeding detection sensor 16a on the basis of the decision data transmitted from the double feeding detection sensor 16a; and a display part 23 displaying measures to the double feeding detection sensor 16a on the basis of the prediction of the detection abnormality of the double feeding detection sensor 16a by the main control part.
