Chiral [iminophosphoranyl]ferrocene ligands for asymmetric catalytic hydrogenation, catalysts comprising chiral[iminophosphoranyl]ferrocene ligands and methods for the preparation thereof are provided to increase optical selectivity of the catalysts, and produce compounds having high optical purity. The chiral [iminophosphoranyl]ferrocene ligands for asymmetric catalytic hydrogenation represented by the formula(1) formula(2) or formula(3) are provided. In formula(1), R is NMe2 or OMe and Ar is 2,6-Me2-C6H3 or 2,6-iPr2-C6H3, and in formula(2) and (3), R is Ph or C6H11. The chiral [iminophosphoranyl]ferrocene ligands for asymmetric catalytic hydrogenation represented by the formula(1) is prepared by reacting phenylphosphine compounds represented by the formula(7) with arylazide compounds represented by the formula(8), ArN3, wherein R is NMe2, and E1 and E2 are each independently PPH2 or H, and Ar is 2,6-Me2-C6H3 or 2,6-iPr2-C6H3. The rhodium compounds for asymmetric catalytic hydrogenation represented by the formula(4), formula(5) or formula(6) are prepared by reacting chiral [iminophosphoranyl]ferrocene ligands for asymmetric catalytic hydrogenation with [(NBD)RhCl]2 and adding NaClO4 into the resulting product. The optically high purity compounds are prepared by performing asymmetric catalytic hydrogenation by using the rhodium compounds as catalysts.
