VARIABLE CUTOFF PRINTING UNIT BELT BLANKET AND METHOD OF PRINTING

A variable cutoff printing press is provided. The variable cutoff printing press includes a first plate cylinder (12), a second plate cylinder (14), a continuous belt blanket (24) contacting the first and second plate cylinders (12, 14) and a movable support cylinder (34) supporting the belt blanket (24). The first and second plate cylinders (12, 14), the continuous belt blanket (24) and the movable support cylinder (34) form a first print section (20) and the movable support cylinder (34) is movable to change the print length of the first print section (20). A method of printing images (A, B) with a printing press is also provided.
