摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for accurately determining an amino group on the surface of a solid-phase substrate, or the like for manufacturing a biochip by a simple operation. SOLUTION: In the quantitative determination method for a functional group on a surface of a solid-phase substrate, an amino group on the surface of the solid-phase substrate for a biochip is converted into haloacyl and the quantity of halide ion is determined by ion chromatography. Using the method, the quantity of amino groups on the surface of a solid-phase substrate, or the like for manufacturing a biochip can be accurately determined with a simple operation, thus making it possible to simply and reliably perform quality control on such a solid-phase substrate. Further, the quantity of a functional group on a substrate can be simply and accurately determined, thus dispensing with the use of an unnecessarily excessive amount of expensive living body-related substances when manufacturing biochips and bringing about a large benefit also in costs.
