PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pretreatment liquid coating/drying apparatus which uniformly performs cooling after heating and drying, while preventing generation of cockling of a recording medium.SOLUTION: The pretreatment liquid coating/drying apparatus (120) includes: conveyance means (35) for conveying a continuous recording medium; a coating device (30) for coating a pretreatment liquid onto the recording medium conveyed by the conveyance means; a heating and drying device (1) which has heating means for drying the recording medium coated with the pretreatment liquid; cockling prevention means (50) which is disposed downstream in a conveyance direction of the recording medium in the vicinity of the drying device, and bends the recording medium multiple times relative to the conveyance direction; and a recording medium cooling system (70) for cooling the recording medium in the cockling prevention means.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 |
