PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To constitute a side member of a vehicle body frame by dividing into a front side member and a rear side member, and secure frame rigidity which is required when a vehicle travels.SOLUTION: A front side member 4 is formed of a press-molded metal plate material. A rear side member 5 is formed of an extrusion-molded or roll-formed metal plate material. The front side member 4 and the rear side member 5 are welded with the one inserted in an inside of the other at a connection part 10 of a rear end part of the front side member 4 and a front end part of the rear side member 5. A metal reinforcing plate 20, which is welded over both of the front side member 4 and the rear side member 5 and extends upward and downward from the connection part 10, is fixed to the connection part 10.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
